GLOW800: first experiences in spine & brain – Dr. Renner
In order to achieve the best surgical results for patients, it is essential to get the best knowledge of blood flow in the underlying pathology and its surroundings. Thus, real-time information about blood flow and circulation in and around the pathology is needed. Otherwise, the risks for disturbances of blood perfusion and subsequent neurological disorders are high.
The GLOW800 Augmented Reality fluorescence is able to provide all this information. Based on several neurovascular and high vascular tumor cases, its application is demonstrated. As such, GLOW800 can directly influence the procedure while increasing patient safety. GLOW800 allows to estimate the surgical procedure success.
Dr. Renner will also show and discuss the advantages of GLOW800 when it comes to surgical workflow and some technical aspects/pitfalls.
