ACNS Young Neurosurgeon’s Presents “Neurosurgery Super Sunday” at 5 pm IST with Deopujari and Cherian

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Deopujari has undergone extensive and rigorous medical training. Post MBBS, Dr. Deopujari achieved MS (Surgery) from Government Medical College (Nagpur), MCh (Neurosurgery) from Grant Medical College (Mumbai) and MSc (Neurosurgery) from New Castle University, New Castle Upon Tyne (UK). He further undertook several fellowship programs incorporating Microvascular Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit, USA), Pediatric Neurosurgery at HSC (Toronto, Canada), Epilepsy Surgery at Miami Childrens’ Hospital (USA) and Endoscopic and minimally invasive skullbase Neurosurgery at University of Mainz (Germany) thereby strengthening his clinical skills. He also served as a Visiting Fellow to Fujita, Shinsu and Osaka universities in Japan, Emory University Clinic (Atlanta, USA) and Cleveland Clinic (USA) consequently providing him wide overseas experience.

IYPE CHERIAN

Dr. Iype Cherian a neurosurgeon, whoe described Cisternostomy,[1][2] a novel technique for severe head injury instead of the standard decompressive hemicraniectomy. He is the Director and Chair of Nobel Institute of Neurosciences, Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital (NMCTH), Biratnagar.
He is Counselor General of Asian Congress of Neurological surgeons and Incharge of Asian Congress of Neurological surgeons (ACNS) Educational courses.[3] He also proposed the theory that the brain is a water cooled and water cleaned system and abnormalities in this can lead to neurodegenerative disorders.

Education 

Cherian had his formal education and Completed SSLC from MGM School Tiruvalla in 1991. He Completed his MBBS –1993 -99 Kottayam Medical College. He completed his Pre degree from S.B College in 1991- 93. Later on, he had his MCh Neurosurgery (5 year course) 2002 – 2006 From Christian Medical College & Hospital.[4]
