Young talents, who have graduated from medical universities, are invited to enroll in neurosurgical
residency program at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Institute of Clinical Medicine in Sechenov
University at the premises of its’ clinical base – Federal Center of Neurosurgery (Tyumen).
The head of the department is Chief physician and Medical director of Federal Center of Neurosurgery
(Tyumen), Chairman of Education Committee of Asian Congress of Neurological surgeons (ACNS), active
member of World Academy of Neurosurgery (WANS), Honorary Professor of Harbin Medical University,
Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences,
professor Albert Sufianov.
We have developed the world’s best system of theoretical and practical training for young neurosurgeons.
We organize 12-15 international conferences and hands-on workshops annually with participation of world
leaders in the field of neurosurgery as faculty. English is a working language here. Residents and
postgraduate students from Sudan, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan,
Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other countries study at the department. Unique educational laboratory with 11
